Method and the area
A history lasting since centuries, the one about Franciacorta: a sole word defining the territory, the method of production and the wine itself. The present geographic boundaries, included within Bergamo and Brescia,
match the ones of the county of Viscontean age, taken and confirmed from the Serenissima Republic (Venice) in the XV century. In the XVI century this area is already known for its own vineyards, that benefit from the mild climate, specific of Iseo lake. The term Franciacorta recalls the Frank courts and, after the arrival of the Cluniacenses monks, the
territory enjoyed the free trade (curate francae). Nowadays Franciacorta is cultural and natural heritage, rich of charm and attractiveness.
A territory to discover, to savour and to inhale.
